UniBE Life

The University of Bern aims to develop and implement a unified corporate identity. The goal is for employees and students to identify with the University of Bern as a whole. To achieve this, the university will promote dialogue and a sense of community, strengthen internal communication, and increase employee satisfaction.

Our goals:

  • The Strategy 2030 and in particular the diversity (of activities, opinions, etc.), the values, and the self-image of UniBE—should be made visible and widely known.
  • Raising staff awareness of the importance of the university’s overall reputation and their shared responsibility for it.
  • The values and identity should be widely accepted and integrated into staff members’ daily work.
  • Establishing an internal communication structure with clear responsibilities and opportunities for feedback, particularly at the central administration level.
  • Identifying content (topics) that have great potential to strengthen identification with the university and planning targeted measures.
  • We optimize and promote dialogue with the public, the local community, and within the university—both within organizational units and across organizational unit boundaries.
  • We cultivate ambassadors for the university, paying particular attention to the importance of UniBE alumni.
